FUVA-measured mortgage loans are now in place

Their advantage is that they are updated through the Purchasing Power Unit (Unidad de Valor Adquisitivo, UVA) and that they are of easy access given that the instalment is similar to the cost of a rent and is kept as a stable percentage of income.

For example, an AR$1,500,000 loan at a 15-year term measured through UVAs has an initial instalment of around AR$ $8,000; on the contrary, in the case of a typical mortgage loan for the same amount, the instalment amounts to AR$ 20,000. The UVA is a unit of account adjusted daily through the Consumer Price Index.

Once the decision of applying for a loan has been made, you should approach the financial institution that grants such loan.
