Gold brilliant uncirculated coin in honor of Gral. Justo José de Urquiza. Tokens used to mint this series were manufactured by melting mutilated gold-convertible Argentine peso coins.

OBVERSE DESIGN General Justo José de Urquiza’s face; horizontally and to the left, the year of his birth, 1801; to the right, the year of the anniversary of his birth, 2001. The lower part of the outer ring bears the inscription “Gral. JUSTO JOSÉ de URQUIZA”, and the upper part, “REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA” (“Argentine Republic”).
REVERSE DESIGN The reverse reproduces part of the San José Ranch; to the right, the numerical face value ―“5”― and the word “PESOS”; surrounding the core, the year of minting ―“2001”― opposed to the year of Urquiza’s uprising ―“1851.” The words “SAN JOSÉ” feature vertically to the left. The coin is medal aligned.
