OBVERSE DESIGN Based on a design by Italian master Renato Garrasi, it features a portrait of Evita surrounded by the inscriptions “MARÍA EVA DUARTE DE PERÓN” on the lower part and “REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA” (“Argentine Republic”) on the upper part.
REVERSE DESIGN The reverse, designed by Carlos Pedro Rodríguez Dufour, the BCRA plastic artist, shows the faces of men, women and children bearing a sign that reads “Evita.” In the lower right part, the year “1952,” opposed to “2002;” to the right, the numerical value with the word “PESOS” below it.
