The series of $1 circulating commemorative coins paying homage to the Bicentennial of the May Revolution comprises five (5) versions aimed to evoke several geographical places of Argentina for federal purposes

This Bicentennial series resembles the $1 Peso Line coin and is part of our circulation money, thus becoming a means of payment.

These numismatic coins have been designed by the Management for Treasury Planning and Control –Deputy Management for Control, Design and Numismatics, BCRA.

Features:

OBVERSES DESIGN Core:
Landscape of “PUCARA DE TILCARA”, “EL PALMAR”, “ACONCAGUA”, “MAR DEL PLATA” and “GLACIAR PERITO MORENO”.
Ring:
It includes the words “REPUBLICA ARGENTINA” on the upper arch and “BICENTENNIAL” on the lower arch.
REVERSE DESIGN Core:
An image of the rising sun standing for our ever-growing country. It commemorates 200 years of the May Revolution: “1810 - 2010”. The “1 PESO” face value appears on the upper part.
Ring:
The legend “EN UNION Y LIBERTAD” appears on the lower arch and “2010” – year of coinage – on the upper arch.
