To manage the Bank and its legal affairs with third parties; to act on behalf of the Board of Directors and convene and preside over its meetings; to ensure compliance with the BCRA Charter, other national laws and the Board’s Resolutions; and to perform all the other duties entrusted to the office as the Bank’s main executive authority (BCRA Charter, Section 10). She is a member of the Board of Directors.
 
 
 

Curriculum vitae

A graduate in Economics (Licenciada en Economía) from the University of Buenos Aires School of Economic Sciences (class of 1982), Ms. Del Pont also holds a Master’s degree in International and Development Economics from the Economic Growth Center at Yale University (class of 1987).

She was the Governor of Banco de la Nación Argentina from January 2008 to January 2010. She has also been a National Representative for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and Chairwoman of the National House of Representatives SME Committee (2005–08).

Among other positions, she was an advisor to the Argentine Ministry of Production in 2002, as well as to the City of

Buenos Aires General Directorate of Statistics in 2001.

As from December 1991, se was the Director at the Development Research Foundation (FIDE), where she had been a senior researcher in 1982–87. She is a member of University of Buenos Aires’ Plan Fénix since 2001. She developed and implemented the Masters’ Course in Business and Economics at the National University of Lomas de Zamora Center for Advanced Studies, and also delivered several workshops in different academic areas.

She has acted as advisor to governmental agencies in several projects on the development of productive policies and statistical systems.
